Homeschooled?
Yes, H.S is of a good benefit to most children,
having extra time for teaching, outings etc. I have home educated for the past 12 years. One of my children asked to go to school as he is very athletic and wanted to do more sports and socialise with others. As parents we need to be aware that each of our children are different. My 8 children certainly are. The other children wanted to go, so 6 children attend a local state school. It has been very positive, the teachers so impressed with our children, so polite adnd just nice kids. It hasnt affected our kids, rather it has taught them to stand up for their faith and share the love of God to some pretty needy kids. I have been amazed how well they fit in and take a stand. As homeschoolers we must be very careful not to become too proud, as teh school can be a very good place for some children.
Each child is different.

Hello,my name is kennedy, and i am homeschooled.I am 12 years old, and I think that homeschooling is the best thing you can do for you children.I have friends that are my age and are public schooled and I have better english skills.I am not very good at math but I can still beat them at all the contests we have.Oh and did I mention I am a born again christian……..;):):):):):);):):);0:0:););)

i am not judging home school moms or dads . i just noticed the best teachers are those that have gone to school for it and have the class room experience(teachers). i did notice how some home school parents hate us public school parents for choosing what we did.i did notice that a big percentage of those that do home school don’t seem to be educated enough past 2 grade expectations. it isn’t there fault it was our generation before that didn’t teach us what our kids are learning earlier then we did plus all the advance stuff. yes i do think public schools have room for improvement but with them helping us parents with the stuff the kids are expected to know by graduation, the schools do a great job. i hate to think of my kids going to college really unprepared or not having good study habits that colleges expect them to have by that time. as for all the fears parents have for there kids if you did a great job with morals, nothing will hurt your child. i think home schooling only works for some kids and others need the experience of a school to do better. it really depends on the kids personality not the parents.only a parent that loves there kids know if there child really benefits from a parent acting like a teacher and then a parent when the other parent comes home.

i am home school and will not send my kids to public school because if you are home schooled you can learn about the bible and if you are n public school they teach you the oppsite like global worming and evolution that obama is a presedent

i am home schooled.I may have some things against the public school but they just take it to personaly.I don’t have anything against the kids there i have somthing against the things that they are teaching and thats coming from a 12 year old

Well it is definatelt possible to graduate at 16. My birthday is in august and I wil be graduating a year early, I will be 16. I am most definitely not a super smart kid. Like some of the comments above if you are homeschooled you are able to get ahead and get more help than attending a regular school. I’m homeschooled myself and I love it!

The definition of a true home school is, parents teaching their children at home; they are the instructors, they choose the curriculum, the time, and place.
How can that be a scam?

Home schooling on line is often called home schooling because you are doing some sort of "school at home"
That is not home schooling.

If you want to do on-line schooling you have to make sure you sign up with a credible on-line academy, and there are many; these are not scams, and have been around for decades.
Just do the home work before signing on

Just put on-line, or home-school academies in your search area.

Any of those over 15 years are legit.

Some go back to the early 1900s.

Home school is about what you learn

To get into college you need to learn

Alegbra
Geometry
Trig
History
Geography
Biology
Chemistry
Physics
Language (foreign and domestic)
General Science

If it does this, then it’s legit.

A program either teaches you something or it doesn’t.

Taking a Proficency test that is commonly accepted at grade 10 will tell you where you stand.

MOST American students are below 10 on that test.

If you are 10 or above you are doing ok.

One way that you can check is to check under contact information and see if the school provides a mailing address. If it only provides 800 or 866 phone numbers and email addresses with no mailing address, then it is most likely a scam.

I used a cyber-school called Keystone National High School for half a semester last year. It was a pretty good school for what it was, although I find that I prefer eclectic homeschooling. You should try checking it out. http://www.keystonehighschool.com/

it’s legitimate, and you’re talking about cyber-schooling, which is not the same as home schooling.

k12.org is legitimate
Keystone is legitimate
Connections Academy is legitimate
