Tons! If your parents don’t want to be your teachers, and they don’t feel comfortable with the idea of you working independently, there are many many options still open to you.

There is online schooling. There are tons of quality programs available to you. K12 is a free program, but personally I don’t think it’s any different than the public schools. There’s also EPGY ( i think that’s it). It’s basically an advanced and flexible highschool program run by Stanford University for gifted and talented highschoolers. It costs money though. There are many other legitimate online highschools as well. Just search around.

There are other forms of distance learning as well. Some homeschoolers are students in private umbrella schools that provide them with all their books and assignments and tests and such, evalutate it, and you just complete their program. It’s basically private school, but done from home.

There are tutors as well who can act as your teacher and evaluator, and who will come to your house daily, or once a week, or twice a week, or whatever you arrange, and will work with you and check you assignments then.

Just do some research. There are many options available toyou.

Your school system may have an alternative format you could do–an at-home, correspondence or virtual/online program. Your state may also have an online program available. Check with http://www.k12.com . You might also do a search for _yourstate virtual charter school_ and see if anything pops up. All of these options would be free (other than basic administration fees).

If those don’t pan out, you’d have to sign up for some sort of online program you’d have to pay for or see if there’s an alternative public school program or alternative private school where you live. There are LOTS of online/virtual high schools/academies available. You can try look through things found through the following searches:

Are they qualified to teach you. You may hate school but you’re better off with people who are trained for the process. In absence of that, there are progams by which you can do courses via mail and there are also home schooling groups.

there are a few but on your own and no sorry k12 is learning student and parent together learning on your own is going to be tough so talk with them again if they arent willing to teach better stay in school

I have met a lot of people who were home schooled over the years and it seems that almost all of them are complete hermits with almost zero social skills. Regular schooling teaches people about diversity on first hand, teaches you to respect others. IN my opinion, stay in the regular schooling system and see that it really does work. If you are really wanting to make the decision to leave school, you could get a full-time tutor, but that can get extremely expensive. I would recommend looking into a private school system because they tend to let you venture out on your own more while they still care about you more. Smaller class sizes, one on one help, the private school is a good option and I would seriously look into it.

It is independent study on your terms. You still have teachers if you need help, and you can choose if you want your courses to be correspondence (print) or online. Check out the website. Lots more info!!!

Are any of the charter schools in you county/city worth anything, you might want to check them out. I could have sworn that this No Child Left Behind Act, was passed so that students had choice, but I see it continues to be a joke.

Don’t look into homeschooling look into independent study options-where you meet a teacher 2x a week for an hour to take tests. It’s the only way to go for a homeschool like edu without your parents teaching you.

School of tomarrow….check it out

you work in paces..not books…
only have to take test once a year…depends on your state guidlines anyway………you can work at your own pace….no real teacher needed….easy system for parents to check your work…will only take them about 15 minutes a day to check it…….Have all subjects and all grade levels….this one is christian based………..but its ciriculum is very high value and high standard……….and one can learn faster , and learn more and homeschoolers have higher grade averages then public school system…and depending on what you want to learn…can even graduate..at a excelerated rate……..but skies the Limit….it depends on what you want or what you need…
check your local board of ed…..but its legal in all states….just depends on requirments !!
